End of the year message from Ms.Fan 凡老师的学期末信息

 Dear Parents, 

The last day of school…The closing of one door and the opening of another. 

I want to THANK YOU谢谢你们 for such an amazing year, thank you for allowing me to be your child’s teacher. I could not have asked for a better group of students than this group. We laughed, we sang, we explored, we created, we grow! I am so glad I was given the opportunity to get to know not only your child, but also you! Your supports are truly what makes our classroom such an amazing and wonderful place to spend my days. It has been a wonderful and rewarding year for me.

Have a good summer break! I can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things your child will accomplish in his/her future.

Learning Updates for June. 16-20 六月十六日至二十日

Hi Kindergarten Friends and Families, 

Next week is the last week of school!! Summer break is coming.  

Monday/Wednesday class Kindergarten Celebration 一三班幼儿园毕业活动 - Wednesday, June 25  

The last day of kindergarten is on Wednesday, June 25th. Families will be invited into the classroom at 2:00 PM. The students will be singing a couple of songs and we will have a slideshow of pictures from the year. Kindergarten students will be dismissed by 2:30PM. 

Tuesday/Thursday class Kindergarten Celebration 二四班幼儿园毕业活动 - Tuesday, June 24  

The last day of kindergarten is on Thursday, June 26th. However, because last day is an early dismissal day, so we will have our kindergarten celebration on Tuesday, June.24th instead. Families will be invited into the classroom at 2:00 PM. The students will be singing a couple of songs and we will have a slideshow of pictures from the year. Kindergarten students will be dismissed by 2:30PM. 

Important Reminders重要提醒: 

• There is no school on Friday June.27th 下周五没有课！ 

• Thursday, June 26th is half day! 下周四是半天上学。 

• Last day of school for Mon/Wed class is Wednesday, June. 25th, last day of school for Tues/Thurs class is Thursday, June. 26th  

• Sports Day 运动会 - June 26th Morning  

• School bus for next year! If you are interested in signing your child up for school bus, please register it online asap. All registrations will be closed on June.22nd.  

• My blog will be open for parents and students throughout the summer, I will add in more resources, feel free to go back and check my blog during summer!

• This week, we worked on building sentences again and practice reading CVC words 

• We took on some cool challenges, we thought of words that starts with Rr and Mm

• In Math, we continue to review what pattern is and practiced simple adding questions.  

• We worked on a summer art project using water color!

Learning Updates for May. 19-23 五月十九日至二十三日

 

Hi Kindergarten Friends and Families,  What a fun week we've had! The Tues/Thurs class enjoyed their zoo trip, and the Mon/Wed class will be going on their field trip next Monday.  This week, we learned about syllables and practiced the sight word “the.” We also labeled more words to create sentences. Next week, we’ll kick off our fairy tale unit and explore sequencing!  In Mandarin, we read a fun book called “从前有座山” (Long Time Ago, There Was a Mountain) and practiced printing “山” (mountain). We also completed our horse art and started an inspired project based on the work of the amazing Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.  Have a wonderful weekend!   Important Reminders重要提醒:  There is school on Friday May.30th for T/Th class 周二/周四班下周五上课。  School bus for next year! If you are interested in signing your child up for school bus, please register it online asap. All registrations will be closed on June.30th.   There is no show & Tell next week.   I am not at school on Tuesday due to my medical appointment. Learning Updates for May.12-15 五月十二日至十五日

 Hi Kindergarten Friends and Families, 

We had a great week of learning! 

We practiced the sight word “is” and stretched out words to make sentences. After reading “My Teacher is Having a Baby,” we made special drawings and writing for Ms. Fan’s baby! 

In Mandarin, we reviewed direction words, made maps, and shared our routes with friends. In Math, we learned to solve addition using a number line. 

We also learned about the Calgary Stampede and made fun horse art! 

Have a great long weekend! T/Th class has their zoo trip next Tuesday!  

亲爱的幼儿园小朋友和家长们， 

这周我们学习了很多新知识！ 

我们练习了常见字 “is”，并尝试把单词拉长来组成句子。我们还阅读了绘本《My Teacher is Having a Baby》，并为Fan老师的宝宝画了图、写了信。 

在中文课上，我们复习了表示方向的词语，自己设计了地图，写下行走路线，还和好朋友分享了作品。 

在数学课上，我们学习了如何用数轴来解决加法问题。 

我们也了解了卡尔加里牛仔节，还做了有趣的马儿美术作品！ 

祝大家长周末愉快！周二/四班的孩子们下周二将去动物园参观哦！
