Dear Kindergarten Friends and Families,

Only one more week until our Chinese New Year concert! This week, we have been busy learning all about Chinese New Year. We painted the Nian Beast (年兽) using watercolor and practiced

calligraphy (书法) with traditional Chinese ink!
Next week will be super busy, but it’s going to be an amazing and exciting week! 亲爱的幼儿园小朋友和家长们:

距离我们的春节演出了还有一周的时间!本周我们正在忙着学习关于春节的一切。我们用水彩画了年 兽，还用传统的中国墨水练习了书法!

下周会非常忙碌，但一定会是充满乐趣和惊喜的一周!

We will have combined pictures next week for everyone to view.

Important Reminders 重要提醒:

1. 1)  Monday/Wednesday class have school on Friday, Jan.24 下周五是周一/周三班上课

2. 2)  Rehearsal at Harold Panabaker School 正式彩排日(Tuesday, January 22nd)

   Tuesday is our formal rehearsal day at Harold Panabaker School. This will be a school field trip, and the bus will leave at 9:00 AM. We are expected to return to school at around 1:30 PM.

3. 3)  In-School Rehearsal 校内彩排 (Wednesday, January 23rd)

   We will also have an in-school rehearsal on Wednesday from 1:00–2:00 PM. If you are unable to attend the evening Chinese New Year concert on Thursday, feel free to join us during this time to watch the rehearsal!

4. 4)  Chinese New Year Potluck Celebration 春节班级聚餐 (Wednesday, January 29th &Thursday, January 30th)

   To celebrate the Chinese New Year, we will have an extended lunch hour on Wednesday, January 29th, and Thursday, January 30th for an in-class potluck. I will send out a detailed email next week with instructions on how to sign up and what to bring. Stay tuned!

5. 5) Kindergarten Registration 明年幼儿园注册信息

    Our school is currently accepting new students for the 2025–2026 school year. If you     know anyone who might be interested in the Mandarin Bilingual Program, please feel free     to share our school’s information with them or let me know, and I’ll be happy to reach out to them. Thank you!

It was a wonderfully busy first week back! All of our students did an amazing job transitioning back into their normal routine. In the coming weeks, we will continue preparing for the upcoming Chinese New Year concert and celebration.  

亲爱的幼儿园小朋友们和家人们， 

开学第一周非常忙碌！所有的学生都非常棒，迅速适应了正常的学习节奏。在接下来的几周里，我们将继续为即将到来的春节w晚会和庆祝活动做准备。

Learning Updates for Dec.9-13 十二月九日至十三日

 Dear Kindergarten Friends and Families, 

We had lots of fun learning and made cool Christmas craft this week! Next week will be a very busy week as it will be our last week before the Christmas break, and on Tuesday and Wednesday will be our Christmas concert. Have a wonderful weekend! 

亲爱的幼儿园小朋友和家人们， 

本周我们玩得很开心，学习了很多，还制作了很棒的圣诞手工！下周会是非常忙碌的一周，因为这是圣诞假期前的最后一周，并且我们的圣诞音乐会将在周二和周三举行。周末愉快！

2. Winter Break 冬假: December 21 - January 5. The first day back to school is January 6. We will have school on Friday, January 10.  

3. Spirit Week December 16-20 下周每日特别活动！  Monday - Ugly Sweater Day, Tuesday- Whoville Day, Wednesday - Festive/Fancy Wear Day, Friday -  PJ Day 

4. Winter Celebration & Warm Feet for the Street 圣诞音乐会&亲子活动 

We’re thrilled to host our annual holiday events on Wednesday, December 18th! 

Winter Celebration Concert: Join us at 12:45 pm for a festive concert featuring a special song from every grade. The concert ends at 1:45 pm. Tuesday/Thursday class will have your concert on Tuesday, Dec.17 at 12:45pm.  

Warm Feet for the Street: After the concert, visit your child’s classroom to stuff socks with donated items for those in need. You can also enjoy winter treats and place your socks under our tree. Please start bringing in as many donations as you can (toothbrushes, deodorant, gum, etc.) next week and we will start a collection in our classrooms.

我们很开心宣布，12月18日（星期三）将举办一年一度的节日活动！ 

• 温暖脚步公益活动：音乐会结束后，欢迎大家到孩子的教室一起填袜子，为有需要的人送上温暖！还可以吃点冬季小零食，把装好的袜子放到圣诞树下，一起享受这个特别的时刻。 

• 我们从下周开始收集捐赠物品（比如牙刷、除臭剂、口香糖等）。12月20日（星期五），我们会把袜子送到 Mustard Seed，把爱和温暖传递给需要帮助的人。 

让我们一起过一个充满爱心和欢乐的节日吧！

 Dear Kindergarten Friends and Families, 

We had a pretty busy week, we learned many new things and started talking about an upcoming special event- Chinese New Year! Next week, we will do more learning and hoping to learn more about Chinese New year and the Christmas holiday! 

亲爱的幼儿园朋友和家人们， 

我们度过了忙碌的一周，学到了很多新知识，并开始讨论一个即将到来的特别活动——春节！下周，我们将继续学习，期待了解更多关于春节和圣诞节的知识！

Dear Kindergarten Friends and Families,
Thank you so much for attending our parent-teacher conferences this week—it was wonderful connecting with everyone!

Unfortunately, I was unwell for two days this week, so I wasn’t able to take as many photos as usual. I plan to combine this week’s photos with next week’s to share a fuller update with you then.Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you all have a great weekend!
