Dear Kindergarten Friends and Families,

Only one more week until our Chinese New Year concert! This week, we have been busy learning all about Chinese New Year. We painted the Nian Beast (年兽) using watercolor and practiced

calligraphy (书法) with traditional Chinese ink!
Next week will be super busy, but it’s going to be an amazing and exciting week! 亲爱的幼儿园小朋友和家长们:

距离我们的春节演出了还有一周的时间!本周我们正在忙着学习关于春节的一切。我们用水彩画了年 兽，还用传统的中国墨水练习了书法!

下周会非常忙碌，但一定会是充满乐趣和惊喜的一周!

We will have combined pictures next week for everyone to view.

Important Reminders 重要提醒:

1. 1)  Monday/Wednesday class have school on Friday, Jan.24 下周五是周一/周三班上课

2. 2)  Rehearsal at Harold Panabaker School 正式彩排日(Tuesday, January 22nd)

   Tuesday is our formal rehearsal day at Harold Panabaker School. This will be a school field trip, and the bus will leave at 9:00 AM. We are expected to return to school at around 1:30 PM.

3. 3)  In-School Rehearsal 校内彩排 (Wednesday, January 23rd)

   We will also have an in-school rehearsal on Wednesday from 1:00–2:00 PM. If you are unable to attend the evening Chinese New Year concert on Thursday, feel free to join us during this time to watch the rehearsal!

4. 4)  Chinese New Year Potluck Celebration 春节班级聚餐 (Wednesday, January 29th &Thursday, January 30th)

   To celebrate the Chinese New Year, we will have an extended lunch hour on Wednesday, January 29th, and Thursday, January 30th for an in-class potluck. I will send out a detailed email next week with instructions on how to sign up and what to bring. Stay tuned!

5. 5) Kindergarten Registration 明年幼儿园注册信息

    Our school is currently accepting new students for the 2025–2026 school year. If you     know anyone who might be interested in the Mandarin Bilingual Program, please feel free     to share our school’s information with them or let me know, and I’ll be happy to reach out to them. Thank you!

Suggested Home Practice 建议在家里和孩子做的练习:

• Practice putting thing in the backpack and organize your backpack! 请练习如何整理书包

• Practice naming and printing the letter we learned this week (e & k).

• Please practice our CNY song with your child
