Learning Updates for June.2-6 六月二日至六日

 Hi Kindergarten Friends and Families, 

Monday/Wednesday class Kindergarten Celebration 一三班幼儿园毕业活动 - Wednesday, June 25  

The last day of kindergarten is on Wednesday, June 25th. Families will be invited into the classroom at 2:00 PM. The students will be singing a couple of songs and we will have a slideshow of pictures from the year. Kindergarten students will be dismissed by 2:30PM. 

Tuesday/Thursday class Kindergarten Celebration 二四班幼儿园毕业活动 - Tuesday, June 24  

The last day of kindergarten is on Thursday, June 26th. However, because last day is an early dismissal day, so we will have our kindergarten celebration on Tuesday, June.24th instead. Families will be invited into the classroom at 2:00 PM. The students will be singing a couple of songs and we will have a slideshow of pictures from the year. Kindergarten students will be dismissed by 2:30PM. 

Important Reminders重要提醒: 

• There is school on Friday June.13th for T/Th class 周二/周四班下周五上课。 

• Sports Day - June 20th  

• School bus for next year! If you are interested in signing your child up for school bus, please register it online asap. All registrations will be closed on June.22nd.  

• Next Show and Tell is Friday, June 13th for T/Th class, the theme is family photo, please prepare to introduce your family members in Mandarin, I will be there to support. 

• Library books are now due back. There will be no more book exchange. 

Suggested Home Practice 请在家里和孩子一起做: 

1. Read and write small 2 and 3 letter words 

2. Please read to your child every day, ask them to retell you the story 

3. Practice singing the season song in Mandarin 

4. Practice comparing objects with measurement terms (heavy/light, tall/short, long/short, full/empty)

• This week, we learned about important elements in a story “character, setting, problem and solution” 

• We learned the sight word “do” and “go”

• We labeled more words to create sentences.

• We had a special visit from Cst. Melissa. She taught all about her job as a police officer.
