Learning Updates Nov.18-22 十一月十八日至二十二日

 Hi kindergarten friends and families,

We had a full week of learning! Next week will be our parent teacher interview, I am excited to meet all of you to share about your child’s learning in school.  我们度过了充实的一周！下周将举行家长会，我很期待与各位见面，分享您孩子在学校的学习情况。

Important Reminders重要提醒:

1) No class have school on Friday, Nov. 29 下周五不上课！

2) Parent teacher conference 家长会- Parent-Teacher Conferences are Thursday, November 28th (evening) and Friday November 29th (morning). You can sign up for your school conferences through your cbe account.  If you require support, please don’t hesitate to call the office. My CBE Account  家长会将于11月28日（星期四）晚上和11月29日（星期五）上午举行。您可以通过您的CBE账户预定时间参加学校的家长会。如果您需要帮助，请随时联系学校办公室。

3) Please ensure your child has a jacket, a hat, snow pants, mittens and boots everyday. 请确保您的孩子每天都带外套、帽子、雪裤、手套和靴子来学校。

Suggested Home Practice 建议在家里和孩子做的练习:

1. Strengthen your fine motor skills by colouring (stay inside the lines) and snipping paper with kid scissors.
2. Practice putting on your winter gear by yourself.
3. Practice naming and printing the letter we learned this week (o & d).

2. Photo Retake Day 重拍照相日- Photo Retake Day is on Monday, November 18.  Students will be called throughout the day for their photos. If you would like your child to have a photo retake, please let me know!重拍照片日定于11月18日星期一。如果您希望您的孩子重拍照片，请告诉我！
3. Parent teacher conference coming up! 家长会要来啦！Nov.28 & 29 will be our parent teacher interview, more details will be shared with you next week!  十一月二十八日和二十九日是我们的家长会！下周会给各位家长发更详细的信息。

Learning Updates for Nov.4-8 十一月四日至八日

 Hi kindergarten friends and families,

This week, we had the privilege of attending the Remembrance Day assembly. We talked about the meaning of the poppy, why it’s a symbol of remembrance, and how grateful we are for the freedoms we enjoy, like coming to school each day. Have an awesome fall break!

这周我们参加了学校的“和平纪念日”集会。大家一起讨论了罂粟花的意义，为什么它象征着纪念和感恩，还感受了能自由地来学校学习是一件多么宝贵的事情。祝大家秋假愉快！

Important Reminders重要提醒:

1. School resumes on Thursday, Nov.14. 学校下周四恢复上课！
2. Monday/Wednesday class have school on Friday, Nov. 15 下周五是周一/周三班上课！
3. Veterans Food Bank Drive 退伍军人食品银行募捐  Until November 22, the Grade 2 Team is collecting new, unopened non-perishable food and home care items for the Veteran Food Bank of Alberta. Donation boxes are at the front of the school. Suggested items include canned meats, coffee, flour, pasta, rice, juice boxes, body wash, and all-purpose cleaner. Thank you for supporting our veterans and first responders! 从现在到11月22日，我们二年级班级会为阿尔伯塔退伍军人食品银行收集捐赠，欢迎大家带来未开封的非易腐食品和日常家居用品，学校前门有捐赠箱。推荐物品：罐头肉、咖啡、面粉、意面、大米、果汁盒、沐浴露、清洁剂等等。感谢大家对退伍军人和一线工作人员的支持！
