Dear Kindergarten Friends and Families,
This week, we continued celebrating Chinese New Year! Did you know that in China, the celebrations last for 15 days? As a class, we had a wonderful time singing songs, reading stories, sharing delicious food, and creating fun crafts together.
Next week, we will wrap up our Chinese New Year celebrations and continue our learning journey. We’re excited to begin gymnastics and will participate in an Indigenous drumming residency—stay tuned for more details!

本周，我们继续庆祝春节！你知道吗？在中国，春节的庆祝活动会持续15天！在课堂上，我们一起唱歌、读故事、品尝美食，还做了有趣的手工，度过了欢乐的时光。
下周，我们将告别春节庆祝活动，继续新的学习旅程。我们即将开始体操课，同时还会迎来原住民鼓乐驻校课程，敬请期待更多精彩内容！

- Indigenous Drumming residency: We’re excited to welcome Chantal Changon back to Midnapore School for our Cree8 Residency! Over the next few weeks, all students will learn from her Indigenous teachings. Parents are invited to an assembly on Feb 3 at 10:50 AM. Special thanks to our school council for their support!

This week, we worked on number representation where we used ten frame, tally mark, dice/dominoes and picture to represent a number. We also worked on 0-4 printing.
Next week, we will work on 2D and 3D shapes and continue to practice number representations.
