Learning Updates for Mar.13-17 三月十日至十四日

 Dear Kindergarten Families and Friends, 

This week, we continued learning letter names and sounds, focusing on X and Q. Students also completed their Mandarin book about their family, learning the words for Dad (爸爸) and Mom (妈妈). They had fun recognizing these Mandarin words in reading and practicing tracing them. 

We also had a special assembly where we learned that the eagle represents Love—teaching us to love ourselves and those around us.

亲爱的幼儿园家长和小朋友们 

本周，我们继续学习字母名称和发音，重点学习了 X 和 Q。孩子们还完成了他们的家庭主题小书，学习了用中文说“爸爸”和“妈妈”。他们在阅读中认字，并描红，学得非常开心！ 

此外，我们参加了一场特别的晨会，我们学习到老鹰代表“爱”——它教会我们要爱自己，也要关爱身边的人。

Important Reminders重要提醒: 

• There is no school on March 21 (Friday). 下周五（三月二十一日）不上课。 

• Spring photo is on Monday, Mar.17 and Tuesday, Mar.18. 春季拍照日是三月17日和18日。
  

• Parent-teacher conference will be held on March 20th and 21st, conference booking opens today. Please log into your MyCBE account to book time. 由于罢工情况，本次家长会将改为线上会议。您可以从今天开始在线预约家长会时间，请尽快完成预约。 感谢您的理解与配合！  

• Spring Break begins on March 21. The first day back to school will be March 31. 春假是三月21日，一直放假到三月31日 

• Bookfair 图书展信息： 

-Monday/Wednesday class: The Book Fair is next Wednesday, March 19th! Please check the flyer in your child’s communication bag. If your child would like to purchase a book, please return the flyer along with cash (placed in a Ziploc bag). 下周三（3月19日），孩子们将参加书展！请查看孩子沟通袋中的宣传单。如果您的孩子想购买书籍，请将宣传单连同现金（装在小袋子中）一同带回学校。

Suggested Home Practice 请在家里和孩子一起做: 

1. Practice letters and sounds (26 uppercase letters and 26 lowercase letters) 

2. Read and write 0-10 in Mandarin 

3. Practice printing the numerals 0-10 

4. Count every day. In class, we are practicing 1-100 

5. Please read to your child every day. 

6. Practice saying family members in Mandarin
