Dear Kindergarten Families and Friends,  Welcome back after Spring Break! Our students returned calm, eager, and ready to learn. This week, we wrapped up all 26 letter names and sounds. In Mandarin, we continued working on our family books, learning the word for little brother (弟弟) and reviewing the phrase “this is” (这是) to introduce family members. Students enjoyed fun activities like translation games, Mandarin walks, and flash cards.  Please check the “Important Reminders” section below, we need more volunteers for the upcoming field trips!!   Wishing you a wonderful and relaxing weekend!   亲爱的幼儿园小朋友们和家长们：  春假快乐归来，欢迎大家回到学校！孩子们带着平静的心情和满满的学习热情重返课堂，状态非常棒。本周，我们顺利学完了全部26个英文字母的名称与发音。在中文课上，孩子们继续制作《我的家庭》小书，学习了“弟弟”这个词，并复习了“这是”这个句型，练习如何介绍家人。课堂上我们进行了翻译游戏、中文和词卡练习，孩子们玩得特别开心。  请留意下面的“重要提醒”部分——我们仍在寻找更多的家长志愿者来协助即将到来的校外教学活动，期待您的参与！  祝大家周末愉快！  Important Reminders重要提醒:  Monday/Wednesday class have school on Friday, April 11 周一/周三班下周五上课。  Show & Tell program 展示与讲述活动 starts next week, please check the letter I sent home this week.   Parent Volunteer needed!! 我们需要义工！ we are still looking for parent volunteers for our upcoming field trips, please see the list of field trips below  1) Teacher’s Pet Program (science-based learning) in school! 校内科学活动 （Half day 半天）  This event will take place at school in the kindergarten classroom.   Tuesday/Thursday class: Thursday, April 24th at 9am-11:30am (2 more volunteers needed)  Monday/Wednesday class: Monday, April 28th at 9am-11:30am (3 more volunteers needed)  2) Midnapore Fire Station Tour 参观消防局 （Half day 半天）  We will be walking to the Midnapore Fire Station for a tour.  Tuesday/Thursday class: Tuesday, May.6th at 9:15am-11:15am (2 more volunteers needed)  Monday/Wednesday class: Wednesday, May 7th at 9:15am-11:15am (4 more volunteers needed)  3) Calgary Zoo 卡尔加里动物园 (Full day 全天）  We will be taking a school bus to the Calgary Zoo for a program and tour.  Tuesday/Thursday class: Tuesday, May.20th at 8:45am-2:30pm (All filled! Thank you! )  Monday/Wednesday class: Monday, May.26th at 8:45am-2:30pm (1 more volunteers needed)  Suggested Home Practice 请在家里和孩子一起做:  Practice letter names and sounds (26 uppercase letters and 26 lowercase letters)  Read and write 0-10 in Mandarin  Count every day.
