This week, we learned the sight word “and” and began practicing how to stretch out words—listening carefully to each sound and writing down the corresponding letters, especially focusing on beginning and ending sounds. We also worked on labeling items around the room and started learning what sentences look like. In Mandarin, we reviewed all the words we have learned so far and learned how to say “left” (左). We also played speedy speaking games to practice giving and following directions. Our Monday/Wednesday class had their in-school field trip this week—a Teacher’s Pet session where we learned all about how animals move. It was an exciting and educational experience! Next week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be going on our walking field trip to the fire station!
